Overview
The E-Commerce Manager at Kempinski Hotels in Doha, Qatar is tasked with enhancing direct digital bookings, boosting online channel conversions, and improving the hotel’s online sales distribution. Reporting to the Director of Revenue Management, this role integrates digital marketing initiatives with revenue optimization strategies aimed at increasing direct booking ratios, reducing acquisition expenses, and maximizing overall digital revenue across Brand.com, OTAs, and Metasearch platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize the hotel's official website and online booking engine continuously to raise the conversion rate and average order value through A/B testing, UX improvements, and targeted landing pages tied to current revenue strategies such as promotions and upselling.
- Ensure website performance by auditing functionality, load times, and mobile responsiveness to create a smooth booking experience.
- Partner with Revenue Management to strategically allocate digital advertising funds responsive to booking trends, occupancy levels, and target regions.
- Manage digital marketing campaigns including PPC/SEM, SEO, metasearch advertising (Google Hotel Ads, TripAdvisor, Trivago), and retargeting efforts.
- Oversee email marketing automation directed at guest engagement, upselling pre-arrival offers, and post-stay retention.
- Review and enhance OTA presence by auditing listings, ensuring content accuracy, verifying room types and images, maintaining rate parity, and participating in promotions.
- Utilize OTA merchandising options, such as preferred partner and sponsored listings status, especially during periods of low demand.
- Analyze and report on digital channel performance metrics monthly, including ROAS, acquisition costs, website traffic, and channel share using GA4 and revenue tools.
- Monitor shifts in booking channel distribution to evaluate cost savings and present findings and strategic insights in weekly meetings with Revenue Management as well as Sales and Marketing teams.
Qualifications and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in hospitality-related e-commerce, digital marketing or online distribution.
- Proficient in web analytics (Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager), CRS, PMS, channel management software, metasearch platforms, and Google Ads management.
- Experienced with Content Management Systems and OTA extranet platforms like Expedia Partner Central and Booking.com Partner Hub.
