Position Overview
The Duty Manager is responsible for ensuring seamless coordination across all hotel departments to maintain smooth operations. This role involves effective communication of important updates and guest feedback to senior management to uphold excellent service standards.
Key Duties
- Coordinate with different departments to guarantee coordinated hotel operations and relay crucial information to senior leaders.
- Greet and assist VIP guests personally, authorizing special courtesies and supervising thorough VIP room inspections to exceed guest expectations.
- Manage guest profiles and guarantee prompt, professional check-in and check-out processes while addressing inquiries and resolving complaints empathetically and efficiently.
- Lead the Front Office team collaboratively by conducting daily briefings and ensuring consistent quality of service standards.
- Review and oversee rate discrepancies, billing instructions, and guest credit accounts to maintain revenue accuracy and fiscal integrity.
- Handle scenarios of full occupancy by coordinating guest relocations and supervising lobby and driveway operations to ensure safety and comfort.
- Record and report any security events or emergencies and perform Night Audit tasks while following organizational and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Duty Manager, preferably within hospitality or hotel settings.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills to establish rapport with guests and team members at all hierarchical levels.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities with a strong aptitude for conflict resolution.
- Capable leadership skills to supervise, motivate, and support staff effectively.
- Comprehensive understanding of operational procedures, safety regulations, and incident management documentation.
- Willingness and flexibility to work varied shifts and be available on-call as operationally required.
