Role Overview

As a Duty Engineer at MGallery Hotel Collection, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of hotel facilities and systems. You will apply your technical expertise to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and other building systems to provide a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily engineering operations and promptly address maintenance requests.
• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on hotel facilities and equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve technical malfunctions to reduce operational interruptions.
• Monitor and service electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and related building systems.
• Conduct regular inspections to confirm equipment safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate maintenance activities, work orders, and liaise with relevant departments and contractors.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies or breakdowns with appropriate corrective measures.
• Ensure all engineering tasks adhere to safety standards, hotel policies, and local regulations.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance work, inspections, and repairs.
• Support and mentor engineering team members during their daily duties.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized engineering workshop and tools area.
• Help create a comfortable and secure environment for guests and hotel staff.

Qualifications and Skills

• Technical diploma or qualification in Engineering or relevant fields.
• Prior experience in engineering roles, preferably within the hotel or hospitality sectors.
• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and building systems.
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Effective communication and ability to coordinate with team members.
• Proactive, dependable, and committed to workplace safety.
• Capability to work independently and handle pressure.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
