Drywall Installer

Job Overview

This position requires the candidate to perform drywall installation duties entirely on-site in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Candidates should have a strong command of English and have completed secondary schooling. Relevant prior experience in drywall work ranging from 1 to 2 years is expected.

Responsibilities

• Apply multiple layers of joint compound and sand the seams and joints to a smooth finish.
• Fill all joints, nail holes, indentations, and cracks using a trowel and broad knife with compound.
• Accurately measure, cut, and fit drywall panels and install them properly.
• Ensure excess compound is smoothed and each coat is given time to dry appropriately.
• Use a taping machine to tape over joints and embed tape in the wet compound for a seamless finish.

Requirements

• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Completion of a secondary (high school) education certificate.
• Work experience of at least one year but less than two years specifically in drywall installation.
• Ability and willingness to work on-site; remote work is not available for this role.
