Role Overview
This full-time, on-site position is based in Medina. The Driver's key responsibility is to operate trucks securely to deliver wood products and materials to company sites and customer locations. Daily duties include planning delivery routes, conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, safely loading and securing cargo, and ensuring accurate and timely deliveries. The role requires engaging professionally with customers and coordinating with team members while adhering to all traffic and safety regulations. Additional responsibilities include vehicle maintenance reporting and assisting with warehouse or yard operations when needed.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven competence in driving commercial trucks safely and skillfully.
- Possession of a valid CDL Class A license and a clean driving record compliant with regional regulations.
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with dispatchers, colleagues, and customers.
- Customer service expertise to maintain a professional company image during delivery and pickup tasks.
- Adherence to safety protocols alongside the ability to conduct basic vehicle inspections.
- Capability to undertake physical tasks such as loading and unloading materials.
- Dependable, punctual, and prepared to work full-time shifts within an on-site Medina environment.
- Knowledge of local routes, use of basic navigation tools, and handling delivery documentation is advantageous.
- Experience in the wood, construction material, or logistics sectors is preferred but not mandatory.
