Role Overview

This permanent position is based on-site in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where the driver will safely operate company trucks, ensuring goods reach their destinations punctually and intact. Daily duties include vehicle inspections before and after journeys, loading and unloading cargo, precise record-keeping of deliveries, and promptly addressing any mechanical concerns. Effective collaboration with dispatch and colleagues is necessary to optimize route planning and scheduling. Additionally, the driver will maintain courteous interactions with clients, reflecting the company's values.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proficient and safe operation of commercial trucks with significant driving experience.
• Possession of a valid CDL Class A or equivalent local commercial driver's license with a clean driving history.
• Strong communication abilities for coordination with dispatch centers, teammates, and customers.
• Excellent customer service aptitude ensuring respectful and solution-oriented exchanges.
• Knowledgeable in vehicle inspection routines, safety protocols, and adherence to local traffic laws.
• Capable of working full-time on-site, including early starts or extended hours when necessary.
• Dependability, meticulousness, and dedication to safety standards and compliance.
• Prior background in logistics, freight handling, or commercial driving is advantageous.
