The Role
Veolia is seeking a skilled HR-licensed driver to join their Wagga Wagga team to safely operate waste collection vehicles. This role involves supporting essential commercial waste collection services and includes the operation of trucks between transfer stations and landfill sites.
Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday shifts, starting from 5:00 am
- Shift duration ranges from 8 to 10 hours with opportunities for overtime
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate waste collection trucks between transfer stations and landfill locations
- Conduct loading and unloading of commercial, construction waste, materials, or consignments
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle both inside and outside
- Promote a healthy and safe working environment
- Work on secure long-term contracts collecting waste and recyclables
- Deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
- Learn to operate various types of fleet equipment
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a minimum HR driver's license
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Positive and proactive attitude
- Commitment to safety with a safety-first mindset
- Clean driving record
- Familiarity with the Wagga and Riverina region
Additional Requirements
