Supply Chain Role

The Supply Chain team ensures seamless flow and compliance of materials and components essential to our rocket and satellite programs. They manage assembly kits, inventory, shipments, procurement, and inspections to uphold our standards.

Position Overview

Located at the Propulsion Test Complex in Waikato, New Zealand, the Driver/Logistics Support role contributes to efficient materials and supplies movement across the supply chain. It involves transportation, inventory tasks, and site assistance to maintain operational efficiency. The role demands organization, self-motivation, and adaptability in a dynamic environment while supporting pioneering aerospace projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport goods and equipment between various Rocket Lab sites including PTC, APC, and MTC.
• Manage urgent deliveries ensuring prompt arrival of high-priority items.
• Collaborate with Logistics and Inventory Assistants to optimize transportation requests.
• Handle all materials safely, adhering strictly to Dangerous Goods regulations.
• Maintain pantry stock by replenishing snacks and beverages.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and shopping for the PTC site.
• Support meal logistics such as collection and distribution when needed.
• Perform general site duties like relocating equipment and supplies.
• Assist with cryogenic and fuel commodity fills, including early morning starts at 5 a.m.
• Keep the warehouse tidy and organized following 5S standards.
• Participate in cycle counts and stock audits for inventory accuracy.
• Prepare and deliver production and testing kits.
• Ensure proper inwards goods receipt and storage coordination.
• Facilitate material handling to ensure real-time inventory tracking.
• Follow all health and safety protocols, including PPE usage and incident reporting.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Candidate Qualifications

• Possess a full Class One driver’s license with manual transmission capability.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a forklift license.
• Have at least one year of experience in a comparable logistics or driver role.
• Basic familiarity with ERP systems and ability to quickly learn Rocket Lab's system.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and a strong eye for detail.
• Be capable of working independently with systematic and methodical work habits.
• Strong communication skills for building effective relationships in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment.
• Experience managing multiple tasks under pressure with flexibility to adjust priorities and work extra hours as needed.
• A dependable team player with a proactive mindset focused on delivering results.

Preferred Additional Experience

• More than two years in a stores or warehouse environment handling inbound and outbound goods.
• Experience within manufacturing, automotive, or aviation sectors.
