Job Overview

The driver is responsible for delivering and collecting chemical and general goods across the island within the supply chain. This includes safe operation of vehicles, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, careful material handling, vehicle maintenance, stock checking, communication, and administrative duties to support timely and efficient logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Class 4 vehicles safely for island-wide deliveries and collections of chemicals and other cargo as per assigned routes.
• Follow all road safety rules and hazardous material regulations, ensuring goods are securely loaded, handled, and separated properly during transport.
• Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips, keep the vehicle clean, and promptly report any damages or maintenance needs.
• Maintain precise records of deliveries, logs, and other administrative documentation.
• Collaborate with supervisors, warehouse staff, and customers to facilitate smooth delivery processes and immediately report any incidents, near misses, or delays.
• Assist with daily logistics tasks and other duties as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a valid Class 4 driving license with a clean driving history.
• Prior experience in delivery or logistics is preferred; familiarity with hazardous materials handling is a plus.
• Understanding of road safety practices and transport compliance.
• Physically capable of performing loading and unloading activities.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills for handling documentation.
• Dependable, responsible, able to work independently, and effective in communication.
