Role Overview

The Driver position is a full-time onsite role based in Kampala. The primary function involves the safe operation of company vehicles, including trucks, to transport goods, supplies, and occasionally guests between company premises and other locations. Responsibilities include planning efficient travel routes, conducting routine vehicle inspections, maintaining cleanliness and upkeep of vehicles, ensuring timely deliveries, managing delivery documentation, and obeying traffic and safety guidelines. The role requires professional interaction with internal teams, vendors, and customers at all times.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in driving commercial trucks safely and efficiently.
• Holds a valid Class A Commercial Driving License or equivalent with a clean driving record.
• Able to communicate effectively to coordinate with supervisors and clients.
• Demonstrates strong customer service aptitude when interacting with guests and partners.
• Familiar with Kampala routes and well-versed in traffic rules and safety standards.
• Capable of performing basic vehicle inspections and reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
• Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to flexible working hours, including potential weekends and evenings.
• Previous driving experience in hospitality, logistics, or commercial transport sectors is favorable.
