Draftsman

Job Overview

Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC) is looking for a skilled Engineering Draftsman to join its Engineering Department. The role involves creating, updating, and managing technical drawings for various operational assets.

Key Duties

• Produce and modify engineering drawings, such as P&IDs, PFDs, layouts, piping and isometric drawings, electrical and instrumentation diagrams.
• Update drawings based on approved changes, site feedback, project needs, and Management of Change (MOC) procedures.
• Maintain drawing registers, track revisions, control copies, and handle engineering documentation.
• Ensure all drawings comply with technical specifications, quality standards, document control policies, and HSSE guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with the Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Projects, Vendors, and Document Control teams to ensure accuracy and timely updates.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or certificate in Engineering Drafting, CAD, or related technical field.
• At least five years of relevant drafting experience, ideally in oil and gas, energy, EPC, industrial, or plant environments.
• Highly skilled in AutoCAD or similar CAD software tools.
• Good comprehension of engineering drawing standards, revision controls, document management systems, and MOC processes.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and capability to prioritize various tasks and deadlines effectively.
