Job description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Domestic Cleaner to join our team at GGCT West Burton Power Station. This permanent role involves maintaining excellent cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards across a variety of site areas, including offices, kitchens, cabins, welfare spaces, toilets, and showers as directed by the client.
Key Duties
- Carry out cleaning duties to uphold cleanliness and safety standards throughout assigned areas.
- Ensure completion of all necessary paperwork accurately and on time.
- Maintain personal hygiene and operational cleanliness throughout shifts.
- Respond politely and promptly to customer requests and needs.
- Confirm that all cleaned areas are left secure, safe, and in pristine condition upon leaving.
- Perform any additional cleaning tasks directed by management or the client.
- Participate in required meetings, training sessions, site inductions, and drug and alcohol testing.
- Complete all mandatory e-learning modules as specified.
- Advocate for and adhere to good safety practices, risk assessments, and prescribed work methods.
- Consistently wear and maintain personal protective equipment according to agreed standards.
- Report all accidents or near misses promptly to site contacts and management, ensuring all documentation is properly completed.
- Maintain cleanliness and order of all equipment and storage closets in compliance with COSHH regulations.
- Use wet floor and warning signs appropriately to notify of hazards.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrates a positive and safety-conscious attitude.
- Dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Adaptable and flexible in work approach.
- Previous experience in a domestic cleaning position is preferred.
- Understanding of COSHH regulations and compliance.
- Familiarity with professional cleaning equipment and chemicals is advantageous; training will be provided.
Additional Information
This is a permanent full-time position based onsite at Retford, England. The current annual salary for this role is £25,877. Benefits include Westfield Health, auto-enrolment pension, and life insurance. The closing date for applications is 16th September 2026.
