Position Overview

Join Medirest as a Domestic Assistant and become a vital part of our team providing exceptional cleaning services within a hospital setting in Peterborough, England. Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of cleaning duties including high and low dusting, mopping, wiping, and scrubbing surfaces across wards, side rooms, toilets, showers, infected zones, and public areas.
• Manage waste disposal efficiently by keeping rubbish bins clean and emptying them when they are full.
• Ensure all hospital areas are maintained to high standards, creating a sanitary and welcoming environment by strictly following established policies and procedures.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and competently in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Engage with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff professionally and compassionately.
• Contribute positively to the team while also being capable of working independently under pressure with flexibility to meet operational needs.
• Demonstrate resilience and sensitivity when encountering unwell or distressed patients.

Shift Pattern and Compensation

• Position involves working full-time nights, seven days a week (Monday through Sunday).
• Compensation is £12.92 per hour for a 35-hour week.
