About the Role

Join the Domestic Team at Tees Grange care home located in Norton, Stockton-on-Tees, to help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and staff. As a Domestic Assistant, you will be responsible for executing daily and weekly cleaning schedules, including dusting, mopping, polishing, and vacuuming various areas such as bedrooms, lounges, kitchens, bathrooms, and offices. You will also assist with laundry tasks and the use of cleaning equipment, all contributing to high standards of hygiene and comfort.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled daily and weekly cleaning duties and occasional additional tasks as needed
• Maintain cleanliness in all designated spaces around the care home including resident bedrooms, communal lounges, kitchens, bathrooms, and administrative offices
• Use cleaning equipment effectively, including carpet cleaning machines
• Assist with washing and drying laundry when required
• Report any damages, hazards, or defects promptly to maintain safety
• Foster trust with residents and promote their dignity, choice, and independence through careful and respectful housekeeping

Candidate Profile

• While experience in a similar role is advantageous, it is not essential as training and induction will be provided
• Individuals who demonstrate kindness, empathy, and understanding
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to cleanliness and housekeeping
• Team-oriented with excellent communication and listening skills
• Positive, proactive attitude and eagerness to contribute
