Role Overview

As a Domain Consultant focused on Security Operations Center (SOC) Transformation, you will become an authority on Palo Alto Networks’ Cortex platform—an advanced, AI-driven security operations solution. You will develop and recommend tailored technical solutions that address crucial business priorities, showcasing offerings such as Security Intelligence and Automation, Extended Detection and Response (XDR), Attack Surface Management, Security Orchestration Automation and Response (SOAR), and Incident Response services.

Key Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with account teams to design and propose customer solutions within your area of expertise.
• Deliver presentations to customers at various organizational levels, from operational staff to executive leadership.
• Serve as the principal technical liaison for Cortex, supporting responses to Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes.
• Lead and facilitate demonstrations that highlight the unique benefits of Palo Alto Networks products.
• Manage and execute Proof of Value (PoV) projects to demonstrate tangible benefits and secure technical success.
• Drive high win rates for technical validations and PoVs in your designated specialization.
• Communicate product alignment with customer needs and differentiate Palo Alto Networks solutions from competitors.
• Design solution architectures that enhance customer security postures while streamlining complexity.
• Prepare high-level design documents and key use case descriptions to ensure smooth implementation and value realization.
• Support customers in advancing their Cortex-centric services.
• Engage in discussions about industry progressions and emerging cybersecurity trends.
• Compare competitor solutions credibly and position Palo Alto Networks as the superior choice.
• Recommend Palo Alto Networks or partner services to optimize solution deployment and effectiveness.
• Relay customer feedback to internal teams including Product Management, Technical Marketing, and R&D to influence product improvements and innovations.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of three years’ experience in Security Operations or pre-sales/sales engineering related to SIEM, SOAR, SOC, and/or XDR/EDR technologies, or successful completion of the Palo Alto Networks Academy Program.
• Preferably possess hands-on experience with IBM QRadar including design, deployment, or pre-sales activities.
• Demonstrated customer-facing skills characterized by problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
• Comprehensive understanding of Security Operations Center processes.
• Familiarity with SIEM and/or SOAR platforms.
• Scripting capability is advantageous, with a preference for Python proficiency.
• This is a field sales role; candidate should be open to travel for in-person client meetings as necessary.
