About the Role
Join AECOM as a Document Controller based on-site in Abu Dhabi, UAE, where you will oversee the management, organization, and control of all documentation related to construction projects. This role demands exceptional attention to detail, ensuring all documents are accurate, compliant, and readily accessible to project teams and stakeholders in a dynamic site environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain comprehensive document control systems encompassing drawings, specifications, permits, and correspondence related to the site.
- Implement strict version control processes to guarantee that all personnel access the most up-to-date and accurate project documents.
- Organize and archive project records following company procedures and regulatory obligations.
- Liaise with project teams, contractors, and various stakeholders to collect, review, and disseminate documentation effectively.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews on all incoming and outgoing documents to ensure completeness and precision.
- Maintain detailed logs and indexes for efficient retrieval of project documentation.
- Ensure full compliance with Abu Dhabi’s local regulations and industry document handling standards.
- Prepare and maintain reports summarizing document control status for project managers.
- Promptly identify and rectify any discrepancies or inconsistencies in documentation.
- Support new team member onboarding by providing essential documentation and procedural guidance.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in document control or similar roles, ideally within site-based settings.
- Proficiency with document management systems and strong command of MS Office applications.
- Excellent organizational capabilities and effective time management with the skill to juggle multiple tasks.
- Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
- Strong professional communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Knowledge of construction, industrial, or project-based documentation standards.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and document retention protocols.
- Experience with project management software and digital document tools is preferred.
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of document control responsibilities.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced and evolving site environment.
