Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time, on-site Document Controller for our Abu Dhabi office. The role entails managing and organizing project documentation to ensure all drawings, contracts, reports, and records are properly filed, updated, and accessible for project teams. Key duties include receiving, reviewing, and distributing documents; maintaining version control; updating document registers; and ensuring adherence to internal protocols and client standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and disseminate project-related documents promptly.
- Maintain document version control and up-to-date registers for easy tracking.
- Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to monitor document flow and respond to information requests.
- Assist in audits by supporting document compliance and records management requirements.
- Contribute to improving documentation procedures while safeguarding confidential data and ensuring data integrity.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven ability in document management, capable of organizing and retrieving both electronic and physical documents efficiently.
- Experience in maintaining comprehensive and accurate construction project documentation.
- Skilled in records management, including tracking revisions, updating registers, and supporting compliance audits.
- Strong communication skills to facilitate coordination with project teams, suppliers, and clients.
- Familiarity with document control software or ERP systems, along with proficiency in MS Office applications like Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational capabilities, and time management to meet deadlines in dynamic settings.
- Previous experience as a Document Controller or a comparable role within the construction or engineering sectors is preferred.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in engineering, construction management, business administration, or related disciplines are advantageous.
