Opportunity Overview

Located in Adelaide, you will be part of a diverse team focused on making a meaningful difference by supporting injured workers. In the role of Dispute Resolution Officer, you will receive comprehensive training to handle a portfolio of injured workers and collaborate closely with claims experts and external legal partners. This position plays a critical part in resolving disputes and representing EML at the South Australian Employment Tribunal. The role is full-time and permanent based out of the Adelaide office, with an option to work remotely up to two days per week after completing training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement strategies to minimize and resolve workers compensation disputes, managing the entire dispute resolution process.
  • Work collaboratively with internal claims personnel and external parties to drive strategies that ensure prompt dispute settlements benefiting all stakeholders.
  • Maintain adherence to legislative, regulatory, and governance frameworks by staying informed about relevant legal obligations.
  • Represent EML at the South Australian Employment Tribunal to advance dispute cases and achieve favorable outcomes.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex information to a broad range of stakeholders effectively.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational capabilities to manage multiple cases concurrently while ensuring precision and quality.
  • Exhibit expertise in strategy development, negotiation, and influencing to satisfy diverse stakeholder requirements.
  • Possession of tertiary education or prior experience in legal fields, mediation, or dispute resolution is advantageous.
