Job description

About the Role

As a Dispenser within our pharmacy team, you will play an essential role supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient provision of pharmacy and healthcare services. This position is based in-store in the UK, and candidates must have the right to work in the UK with relevant qualifications. Remote or international applications without appropriate credentials will not be considered.

Key Duties

  • Accurately dispense prescriptions ensuring the safe supply of medicines, including ordering, labelling, endorsing, and prescription collection.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals within the store to manage and deliver pharmacy services effectively.
  • Offer care and guidance to patients regarding their medications and escalate complex queries to the pharmacist as needed.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures to maintain safe and legal dispensing processes.
  • Stay informed on new innovations and comply with operational processes in-store.
  • Support patients in managing prescription refills and promote medication adherence to minimize waste.
  • Embrace evolving in-store technologies designed to enhance dispensing accuracy and patient interaction time.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Completed the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent, or currently progressing through the first year of an MPharm degree.
  • Valid UK right to work status; this role does not offer Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship.
  • Previous experience in community pharmacy is advantageous.
