Role Overview

The dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all cooking and dining utensils. This position is essential in keeping kitchen operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashing equipment by loading, running, and unloading while maintaining an organized dish area.
• Regularly check dish machine water temperatures to ensure hygienic wash cycles and promptly report any malfunctions.
• Maintain sufficient stocks of dish detergents, cleaning supplies, and clean tableware for both kitchen and dining purposes.
• Dispose of dishroom trash by bagging and transporting it to designated dumpsters according to schedule.

Qualifications and Expectations

• Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to collaborate and support fellow staff members.
• Effective communication skills with managers, coworkers, and guests.
• Availability for flexible scheduling including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand and walk continuously with occasional bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting.
