Role Overview
The Barback position is essential for the efficient operation of fast-paced bar environments. The person in this role will support bartenders by ensuring bars are clean, well-stocked, and ready for service while providing excellent guest support. Ideal candidates are energetic, upbeat, and agile in a busy setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, stock, and break down bar supplies before, during, and after service, assisting bartenders as needed.
- Keep all bar areas spotless, including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, glassware, and storage zones; also responsible for clearing and resetting bar tables.
- Prepare garnishes and replenish snacks and appetizers for bar guests efficiently.
Requirements for Success
- Maintain a positive and energetic attitude while supporting team members.
- Must be at least 21 years old with a working understanding of common drink recipes and spirits.
- Excellent communication skills to interact properly with managers, coworkers, and guests.
- Availability to work flexible hours including day, night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Physically capable of standing or walking constantly with occasional bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting.
