Position Overview

Join Sodexo as a Dishwasher at Troy University, where you will contribute to efficient kitchen and facility operations by ensuring all food production and service areas remain clean, hygienic, and well-organized. This role involves washing dishes manually or using dishwashers, maintaining cleanliness of various surfaces and equipment, and assisting with setup and breakdown activities as needed. The job requires physical stamina, including extended periods of standing and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Work Schedule and Employment Type

The workdays and shifts primarily cover afternoon and evening hours, varying across days including some weekends and holidays. Both full-time and part-time positions are available. Detailed shift information will be provided during the interview phase.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean dishes by hand or using commercial dishwashing machines.
• Sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks to uphold hygiene standards.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain clean flooring in kitchen and service areas.
• Dispose of trash and refuse appropriately to designated disposal locations.
• Use specific cleaning chemicals for equipment sanitation complying with safety guidelines.
• Restock essential supplies such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning agents.
• Perform substantial walking or mobility-related tasks throughout shifts.
• Stand or walk for extended durations, sometimes exceeding 8 hours per shift.
• Frequently reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift items up to 35 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Adhere to punctuality and attendance requirements for scheduled shifts.
• Complete additional duties based on client needs and varying account requirements.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No prior work experience required; training will be provided.
• Basic understanding of sanitation procedures and food safety principles is expected.

Compensation and Benefits
