Job Summary

The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen by ensuring all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, trays, and kitchen equipment are clean and orderly.

Responsibilities

• Manually scrape, rinse, and clean dishes or place them onto conveyor racks for machine washing according to assigned protocols, ensuring thorough sanitation.
• Clean pots, pans, and trays following specific procedures to guarantee hygiene standards.
• Polish silverware utilizing designated equipment such as burnishing machines, chemical dips, buffing tools, or by hand to uphold cleanliness.
• Adhere strictly to all established safety standards and procedures within the dishwashing area.
• Maintain proper temperatures and chemical levels in dishwashing processes as per guidelines.
• Keep dishwashing station orderly in line with safety and sanitation regulations.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors regularly to meet cleanliness and safety requirements.
• Clean worktables, walls, refrigeration units, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces to maintain sanitation.
• Dispose of trash properly by using designated containers and perform steam cleaning or hosing of garbage bins.
• Transfer supplies and equipment efficiently between storage and workstations.
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries as needed.
• Perform any additional duties assigned to support kitchen operations.

Working Hours and Location

The available schedules include full-time and part-time shifts running Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, including rotating weekends. The position is based at Merit Health Central, located at 1850 Chadwick Drive, Jackson, MS 39204.

Compensation

The hourly pay ranges from $13.50 to $15.00 per hour.
