Job Overview
Domino's is seeking dedicated and organized dishwashers who thrive working collaboratively within a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role involves collecting and efficiently washing soiled dishes and cookware, ensuring they are properly dried and stored. Additional responsibilities include replenishing supplies, unloading deliveries, maintaining cleanliness of kitchen appliances and machines, managing trash duties, and other tasks as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Collecting all soiled prep tubs, pans, utensils, and cookware from the kitchen to maintain availability of clean dishes.
- Washing dishes thoroughly, making sure they are dried and stored appropriately.
- Preparing kitchen and dining areas by cleaning and restocking cooking stations prior to and after shifts.
- Cleaning kitchen appliances such as ovens, makeline, and cut tables.
- Keeping the dish pit area organized and tidy.
- Assisting with unloading and storing deliveries.
- Sweeping and mopping floors, particularly when spills occur.
- Emptying trash and cleaning garbage receptacles.
- Supporting restaurant team members with various tasks as needed.
- Reporting any kitchen accidents or violations of food safety standards.
- Ensuring dining area readiness throughout operating hours, including opening and closing duties.
- Setting up the kitchen line before busy periods and resetting it after business hours for the next day.
Requirements
- Minimal prior work experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Effective problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Physical ability to stand or walk for 8 to 10 hours per shift and lift items weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Demonstrates pride and responsibility in work performance.
- Willingness to follow all food safety procedures strictly.
- Possession of a Texas Certified Food Handlers Certificate is mandatory.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent is advantageous but not mandatory. Training in specific employer procedures, including computer system operations and proper use of cleaning chemicals, will be provided. Good communication skills and a positive attitude are essential for success.
Work Environment
This role involves handling significant volumes of kitchenware, including sharp objects that must be managed safely. The setting is warm, energetic, and sometimes noisy, with wet surfaces presenting slipping risks. The kitchen contains equipment such as triple stack conveyor ovens and wheeled carts that require caution to avoid injury.
