About the Role
StoryPoint of Louisville South is seeking a Dishwasher responsible for cleaning and unloading a variety of kitchenware including dishes, pots, pans, silverware, china, utensils, and equipment.
Experience and Skills Required
- Previous experience in a restaurant or dishwashing role is preferred but not mandatory.
- A friendly demeanor and a positive attitude complemented by strong teamwork capabilities are essential.
- Effective communication skills are necessary for this position.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure cleaning and storage follow proper procedures while meeting all relevant state and local health and safety regulations.
- Maintain stock of cleaning supplies such as soap, towels, and paper products throughout the kitchen.
- Carry out daily or scheduled cleaning tasks according to established guidelines.
- Tasks may include scrubbing and mopping floors, sanitizing equipment and work areas.
- Support a positive, collaborative team environment with fellow dishwashers and kitchen staff.
- Foster good public relations with residents, their families, and guests.
Working Conditions
The job requires standing for prolonged periods and effective communication. Duties involve sitting, standing, walking, using hands for handling various equipment, reaching, lifting or moving items up to 25 pounds occasionally. The workplace noise level is moderate and interaction with others is necessary.
