Role Overview

We are hiring a General Utility / Dishwasher responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of kitchen workspaces, equipment, plates, and utensils. This role involves participating in food preparation tasks and cross-training within all kitchen positions as part of the Kitchen Team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Scrape and pre-rinse dishes, loading them into the dishwashing machine (approximately 50% of duties).
• Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand or machine (about 15%).
• Complete all assigned food preparation tasks (around 10%).
• Dispose of trash and garbage by transporting it to the dumpster area (10%).
• Clean work tables, walls, refrigeration and cooking equipment, and floors (5%).
• Sanitize garbage cans and trash receptacles (5%).
• Assemble, maintain, and dismantle the dishwashing machine (5%).

Qualifications and Physical Requirements

• Strong motivation to care for others, grow, and acquire new skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively.
• Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds repeatedly (up to 20 times daily).
• Capable of reaching both high and low shelves with plates, pans, utensils, and cases.
• Work environment includes 90% indoor and 10% outdoor activity.
• Regular exposure to hot and damp conditions in the workplace.
• Preparedness to react swiftly and safely during emergency situations.
• Physical tasks include moving and grasping items up to 5 pounds, lifting/moving items up to 25 pounds, bending, and stooping.
• Adequate vision is required to assess cleanliness and operate touchscreen equipment.
