Job description
Position Overview
Join Walmart Canada as a Directs Store Delivery Associate and gain valuable experience in a fast-moving retail setting. This role involves coordinating and efficiently handling direct and local merchandise to ensure prompt delivery to the sales floor, which supports a smooth and satisfying shopping experience for customers. This position suits those interested in customer service and retail environments.
Key Duties
- Ensure secure storage of high-value merchandise in designated areas following company policies.
- Swiftly process incoming direct, local, OMNI, alcohol, and warehouse shipments to facilitate timely merchandise transfer to the sales floor.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the receiving area by preparing returns, claims, and merchandise transfer requests (MTRs), while completing all necessary documentation accurately.
- Adhere to and promote safe work practices including correct use of lifting techniques and equipment such as box cutters, pallet jacks, and ladders.
- Collaborate closely with the Operations Manager and Office Support Associate to identify and resolve any receiving issues or discrepancies efficiently.
- Protect security by overseeing backdoor access and managing key control as per company security standards.
- Comply with cold chain protocols to preserve product quality, documenting temperature and related information via Receiving Temperature Log or Sure Check app.
- Provide training and support to fellow Directs Store Delivery Associates to ensure consistent process compliance and standards.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays according to business needs.
Challenges in the Role
- Manage a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced environment, including overnight shifts, requiring effective energy and focus management.
- Handle physical demands such as prolonged standing, bending, and lifting items up to 50 pounds, as well as repetitive stocking and organizing tasks.

Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.55 CAD.

- Be at least 16 years of age or older.
