Director - Product Management (Managed Services & Digital Platforms)

Role Overview

We are in search of a seasoned product leader to guide strategy, governance, and the realization of value for large-scale, mission-critical enterprise platforms within a managed services setting. This role will be responsible for owning platform roadmaps, prioritizing investments, tracking benefits realization, and engaging with executive stakeholders across IT and digital service domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a multi-year product and platform roadmap aligned with business, operational, and transformational objectives.
• Define strategies for various platforms including ITSM, Observability, AIOps, End User Computing (EUC), Cybersecurity, Cloud, Digital Workplace, Data, and Artificial Intelligence.
• Ensure service commitments align closely with platform evolution strategies.
• Establish and monitor outcome metrics such as Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) reduction, incident avoidance, downtime minimization, successful change rates, automation adoption, and cost efficiency.
• Lead governance sessions at the executive level and produce benefits realization reports.
• Prioritize platform investments based on concrete business value and benefits.
• Champion automation-first, AI-led, shift-left, and self-healing functionalities within managed services.
• Collaborate with operations teams to enhance Service Level Agreement (SLA) adherence and improve service stability.
• Steer efforts for platform modernization, standardization, and reduction of technical debt.
• Serve as the primary product representative in executive and governance meetings.
• Influence senior leaders from business and technology sectors to adopt modernization and AI strategies.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including delivery, operations, cybersecurity, architecture, finance, and vendor management to align under a unified product vision.
• Lead initiatives to embrace AI, Generative AI, AIOps, and automation technologies to boost incident prevention, operational efficiency, and user experience.
• Implement and manage responsible AI governance practices.
• Oversee product investment prioritization, demand management, and consumption governance.
• Partner with finance and commercial departments to enhance cost transparency and optimize platform economics.
• Support renewal activities, growth programs, and transformational initiatives.
• Mentor Product Managers and Platform Owners, fostering a product-focused and outcome-driven culture.
• Implement frameworks for product governance, roadmap oversight, and release management.

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years’ total professional experience, including at least 8 years in product, platform, or digital leadership capacities.
• Proven background in managing products and platforms within managed services or complex enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise with IT Operations, ITSM, Observability, EUC, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Digital Workplace, Data, and AI technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to present and engage with executive leadership and governance committees.
• Skilled in product strategy formulation, value realization, and stakeholder management.
• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines; an MBA is favorable.
• Certifications such as SAFe, ITIL, Agile, and Product Management or leadership credentials are advantageous.
• Experience in sectors like transportation, aviation, utilities, critical infrastructure, or other highly regulated industries is preferred.
• Mandatory experience includes over 10 years in product lifecycle management, particularly with NTS Consulting Product Lifecycle Management.
