Role Overview

The Director Platform Product Owner will be a pivotal figure in connecting Cloud and Firmware product strategies with technical execution. Responsibilities include converting business demands into practical development initiatives and leading cross-functional teams through all product phases from planning and building to testing and launch. This role demands a strong mix of technical knowledge, product insight, and stakeholder engagement capability. The position is fully remote with hires across the US, UK, and Canada.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritize the product backlog by decomposing extensive features into smaller tasks, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Engage directly with customers to gather detailed platform product needs and incorporate these insights into prioritization decisions.
• Serve as the subject matter expert within internal teams regarding product features, functions, and implications of changes.
• Collaborate closely with research and development teams to clarify requirements, provide necessary context, and support quality assurance.
• Refine and authenticate business requirements for platform teams and other CUJO products.
• Regularly evaluate backlog priorities to confirm alignment with both customer and business goals.
• Define product release content via discovery and grooming sessions with stakeholders and fellow product owners.
• Ensure timely delivery of product increments by coordinating closely with stakeholders and developers.
• Coordinate with product leadership to grasp strategic priorities and convert these into executable plans.
• Lead and drive agile execution ensuring efficient collaboration between teams.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years experience in roles like Product Owner, Product Manager, Solutions Architect, or Lead Engineer within the ISP sector.
• Strong technical capability to comprehend complex systems and business logic.
• Demonstrated experience in Agile development environments.
• Exceptional communication, teamwork, and presentation proficiencies.
• Strong analytical thinking with an ability to focus on both minute details and the overall vision.
• Highly proactive, organized, and self-motivated.
• Effective prioritization skills in a fast-moving and changing environment.

Preferred Attributes

• Hands-on industry experience with Network Service Providers and familiarity with networking or wireless communication operations.
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms applied in cloud settings.
• Background in cloud infrastructure, machine learning, or networking technology domains.
• Proven success in managing large enterprise-scale, cross-functional software projects.
• Strong collaborative spirit, excelling in cross-disciplinary teamwork and encouraging others.
