Role Purpose

The Director of Software Engineering for the Platform will be responsible for leading the architecture, scalability, and dependability of Neko Health's foundational infrastructure. This platform supports clinical and member data management as well as system reliability across multiple clinics and internal products. Given its critical role in healthcare delivery, platform stability and performance are paramount to uninterrupted patient care and clinic operations. The role focuses on engineering an AI-centric platform that delivers exceptional resilience and scalability across geographic regions, enabling accelerated organizational growth and impact.

Key Deliverables in the First 6 to 12 Months

• Develop and maintain a scalable, secure Azure-based infrastructure platform to support health and member data.
• Enhance platform capabilities to significantly accelerate product deployment cycles.
• Improve system reliability to minimize operational disruptions in clinical environments.
• Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing platform engineering team comprising 10 to 15 engineers initially.
• Collaborate with Product and Data leadership to define the long-term strategic roadmap for the platform.

Minimum Qualifications

• Demonstrated track record in building and scaling complex large-scale infrastructure systems.
• Experience designing infrastructure as a platform (PaaS) or site reliability engineering (SRE) systems.
• Robust hands-on technical expertise in coding and system architecture design.
• Proven experience expanding infrastructure capabilities across multiple regions.
• Familiarity with AI tooling platforms such as Claude Code.
• Experience managing and scaling engineering teams through multi-team organizational growth.

Preferred Experience

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft technologies including Azure services, Cosmos DB, and Docker containers.
• Background supporting data platform infrastructure projects.
• Experience in regulated or mission-critical sectors, ensuring compliance and reliability.
• Exposure to AI platform development and deployment.
