Job Overview

We are seeking a Regional Lead for Data Centre Facilities Operations in APAC responsible for maintaining and enhancing the operational efficiency, reliability, and compliance of our data centre facilities. This leadership role involves direct oversight of mission-critical infrastructure including power, cooling, mechanical and electrical systems, environmental controls, life safety mechanisms, and managing third-party facility partners to ensure peak site performance and uptime that supports high-density AI workloads at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily facilities operations across multiple regional data centres.
• Guarantee continuous operability of critical infrastructure such as UPS, generators, switchgear, chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, and liquid cooling installations.
• Maintain uptime that aligns with business and service level requirements.
• Serve as the regional escalation point for facility-related incidents and operational challenges.
• Implement initiatives to improve uptime, system resiliency, and energy efficiency.
• Track and analyze key metrics including PUE, cooling effectiveness, power utilization, and capacity margins.
• Lead root cause investigations following facility incidents and ensure corrective measures are enacted.
• Ensure thorough execution of preventive maintenance programs.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering teams to ready facilities for dense GPU deployments.
• Validate power and cooling capacities during expansions, retrofits, or operational modifications.
• Support optimization of rack density and liquid cooling strategy deployment where necessary.
• Supervise commissioning processes for new infrastructure and upgrades.
• Oversee third-party vendors and maintenance contractors ensuring they meet service expectations and SLAs.
• Manage facility operating costs effectively without sacrificing reliability, safety, or performance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, safety standards, and audits across all sites.
• Lead health, safety, and environmental practices at regional facilities.
• Maintain preparedness for business continuity and disaster recovery related to facilities operations.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years in facilities management, with at least 5 years focused on data centre or critical infrastructure operations across APAC.
• Extensive understanding of critical electrical and mechanical systems including UPS, generators, switchgear, cooling plants, CRAC/CRAH systems, and liquid cooling technology.
• Experience supporting high-density AI or High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments is advantageous.
• Proven record managing multi-site or regional data centre operations within high-availability settings.
• Strong leadership demonstrated during incidents, operational reviews, and cross-functional collaborations.
• Established expertise in vendor and contractor management.
• Exemplifies practical accountability and effective teamwork skills.

Desirable Extras

• Hands-on experience with commissioning, retrofits, or expansions in active data centres.
• Knowledge of liquid cooling strategies for dense computing environments.
• Familiarity with regulatory, audit, and health, safety, and environmental compliance tooling across multiple facilities.
• Track record in advancing energy efficiency or sustainability in mission-critical operations.
• Experience with business continuity and disaster recovery planning for data centre facilities.
