Team and Role Overview
The Middle East team at Anduril focuses on delivering integrated defense platforms and systems tailored to the regional market requirements. The Business Development (BD) team acts as the crucial link between clients and internal teams, driving revenue growth and shaping new business opportunities. The Director role demands a proactive, cooperative individual accountable for steering and executing BD strategies with international partners in the Middle East.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the Middle East, requiring frequent international travel and understanding of local defense budgets and procurement cycles.
- Develop comprehensive capture strategies and business plans that align acquisition goals with investment priorities while engaging key stakeholders to define requirements and funding.
- Expand existing client relationships to explore and capitalize on additional avenues of work in collaboration with product and execution teams.
- Promote Anduril's value proposition to a broad array of stakeholders including clients, partners, and competitors, effectively representing the company’s innovative defense technology approach.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in acquisition or operations within defense systems encompassing multiple roles and mission areas.
- Background working with foreign military or defense ministries, particularly within the Middle East, understanding operational needs and partner relations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills aimed at senior executives and customers.
- Availability for travel between 50% to 75% of the time.
- Eligibility for an active secret security clearance from the U.S., U.K., or Australia.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven leadership in defense capture efforts and understanding of FMS/DCS mechanisms, including licensing and export limitations.
- A high level of initiative and adaptability within fast-paced and resource-constrained environments.
- Capability to innovate market approaches and drive growth.
- Security clearance eligibility extended to Canada and New Zealand besides U.S., U.K., and Australia.
- Proficiency in Arabic at intermediate or higher level.
