Our Managed Services unit offers advanced, tech-driven finance solutions designed to enhance client controls, boost reporting accuracy, and enable better business decisions.

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of finance managed services engagements, ensuring outputs meet quality, scope, risk, and commercial benchmarks.
• Oversee routine finance functions including month-end close support, account reconciliations, management reporting, variance analysis, cash flow monitoring, and preparation of board or trustee reporting materials.
• Collaborate with PwC Partners, client relationship managers, and subject matter experts to aid senior-level client interactions and uphold strong client trust.
• Mentor and develop your delivery team through effective workflow management, quality control checks, constructive feedback, and skill enhancement initiatives.
• Champion continuous improvements via standardized processes, robust controls, approved technological tools, automation, and AI-driven methodologies.

Skills and Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Considerable senior-level experience across finance, accounting, commercial advisory, finance operations, or managed services environments.
• In-depth knowledge of finance function delivery, including proficiency in month-end processes, reconciliations, management reporting, cash flow and variance analysis, board reporting, controls, and operational improvements.
• Proven ability to manage multiple client-facing finance engagements, build trusted professional relationships, and effectively manage client expectations.
• Commercial acumen in areas like engagement scope, resource allocation, work-in-progress management, billing, margin analysis, and performance optimization.
• Solid experience in leading and coaching teams within finance, accounting, operations, or other delivery functions.
• Embraces technology adoption, process automation, analytics, and AI-supported workflows.

Additional Information

This position can be based in either Auckland or Hawke's Bay. Travel commitment is expected up to 20%.
