Role Overview

We are seeking a Director to lead our Cloud Platform team in Australia. This role involves overseeing the technical Cloud Delivery team, managing multi-disciplinary initiatives, and guiding clients in adopting cloud-based solutions ranging from workload migration to secure platform development. The position demands strong leadership, relationship-building with clients and internal stakeholders, and deep expertise in cloud technologies, DevOps, platform engineering, security, and AI practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead large, multi-functional delivery teams focused on building tailored cloud platforms for clients.
• Provide senior technical delivery leadership and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Engage in client relationship management to ensure excellent customer outcomes.
• Coach and mentor team members and future leaders to foster internal talent growth.
• Support business development by participating in sales pursuits of modern engineering projects.
• Conduct technical and behavioral interviews to recruit new team members.
• Drive capability-building initiatives and contribute to Slalom's market engagement through events, conferences, blogs, and workshops.
• Continuously enhance your skills and enable the team's ongoing learning, especially in evolving AI engineering methodologies.
• Steer teams in adopting and evolving AI engineering tools and practices.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience creating and deploying scalable public cloud solutions using current AI Engineering and DevSecOps methods.
• Solid background throughout all product and software development lifecycle phases, independent of specific cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with mature program management models and both Agile (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP, Lean) and traditional waterfall methodologies.
• Successful track record in overseeing large teams, talent acquisition, retention, and fostering inclusive workplace culture.
• Ability to blend leadership, client engagement, and commercial insight to guide significant programs and projects.
