Digital Technician

Job Overview

USIC is seeking a Digital Technician based in Las Vegas, NV. This remote position requires candidates to reside in Las Vegas and involves reviewing locate requests to identify conflicts with customer infrastructure. The position offers a starting wage of $15.45 per hour with opportunities for overtime pay depending on seasonal workload. Work shifts begin at 7am or 9am PST and frequently require working beyond eight hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and review locate requests to identify potential conflicts with existing customer facilities by utilizing prints, web-based maps with street view, and ticket information.
• Process tickets efficiently and quickly to maintain workflow.
• Make reasoned deductions about the likelihood of infrastructure damage.
• Prevent unnecessary dispatch of field crews by accurate decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and reliable attendance record.
• Possess a competitive attitude and eagerness to acquire new skills.
• Quick data analysis capabilities and meticulous attention to detail for logical reasoning.
• Proficiency or willingness to learn how to navigate electronic customer records across different markets.
• Capable of independent work with minimal supervision.
• Prior experience in locating, utilities, or surveying is preferred.
• Solid familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 Browser Edition and map platforms like Bing and Google Maps for spatial orientation.
• At least 3 months experience dealing with utility infrastructure assets is preferred.
• Basic computer skills including working with a dual-monitor setup is preferred.
• Preferred knowledge in reading utility prints, schematics, or blueprints.
