Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Die Setter to join our expanding third shift team in Toledo, Ohio. This is a full-time role with competitive compensation, growth opportunities, and a clean, safe workplace environment. The scheduled hours are Sunday through Thursday from 10 PM to 6 AM, with mandatory overtime availability on a daily basis, including weekends and selected holidays.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting hourly wage of $22.00
• $1.00 hourly differential for third shift

Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly inspect dies for any foreign material prior to setup
• Remove, install, align progressive or transfer dies and material coils in mechanical power presses following specifications
• Adjust the ram stroke to the prescribed length
• Ensure initial parts are properly discarded and prevent suspect parts from entering finished goods containers using diversion methods
• Initiate press operations to manufacture finished parts and monitor for malfunctions or specification conformity
• Visually inspect initial parts for defects and validate with check fixtures
• Collaborate with Quality Auditors for verification and share inspection outcomes
• Troubleshoot equipment, dies, and materials to identify error sources or defects
• Complete required documentation and system entries (Plex)
• Occasionally operate presses as needed
• Train team members assigned to the Large Press Area appropriately
• Enforce safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment
• Possess authority to halt production if unsafe parts or conditions arise
• Execute additional duties assigned by supervisors or managers beyond outlined tasks

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of one year experience in die-setting or a related technical role, ideally within metal stamping
• Capable of reading and understanding safety, operating, and maintenance documentation
• Successful completion of a mechanical aptitude assessment
• Competency in operating power presses
• Completion of the die setter training program
• Ability to acquire and maintain certifications for Industrial Powered Lift Truck, Overhead Crane, and Lock out/Tag out Authorization
• Proven ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced production environment
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Willingness and ability to work required overtime including daily, weekend, and holiday shifts
