Diagnostic Radiographer

Position Overview

The University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking dedicated and proficient Diagnostic General Radiographers to join the team at the Royal Stoke Site. This role involves working across diverse clinical environments, including outpatient clinics, endoscopy, theatres, Emergency and Inpatient Departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce superior diagnostic imaging to support accurate patient assessments
• Ensure continuous delivery of excellent patient care throughout all interactions
• Provide guidance and support to Student Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners, and Apprentice Radiographers
• Function effectively within multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Serve as clinical lead during duty, managing clinical priorities and maintaining a safe, clean, and professional work environment
• Respond confidently to high-pressure situations with approachability and compassion
• Contribute to 24/7 service demands, including work on bank holidays

About the Department and Facilities

The Trust operates as a Level 1 Major Trauma Centre and provides specialized services such as Neurosurgery, Cancer, Gastroenterology, Orthopaedics, Spinal, Cardiothoracic, and Paediatrics with Neonatal and Paediatric Intensive Care. The Imaging Department holds QSI accreditation and is equipped with advanced technology including recently upgraded digital X-ray rooms, image intensifiers, flat panel units, and digital mobile units.

Qualifications and Experience

• BSc Hons Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification
• Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
• Minimum of 12 months NHS experience
• Recent experience working within a general X-ray team utilizing digital technology
• Applicants must be available for face-to-face interviews
