Position Overview

We are actively seeking a proficient DHIS2 Developer to contribute to the design, building, enhancement, integration, and upkeep of DHIS2-based supply chain information systems. This role involves close collaboration with the Ministry of Health and various supply chain and technical stakeholders to create innovative digital solutions for better management of logistics data, commodity visibility, reporting, forecasting, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, develop, and maintain DHIS2 modules and applications targeted at supply chain management.
• Create and customize metadata configurations, Tracker programs, Event Capture forms, datasets, indicators, interactive dashboards, reports, and analytics within the DHIS2 platform.
• Develop APIs and integrate DHIS2 with eLMIS, ERP, warehouse management systems, and other health-related information platforms.
• Construct dashboards and reporting tools focused on commodity forecasting, inventory control, stock monitoring, and evaluating supply chain performance.
• Manage data migration activities, conduct system testing, assist in deployment, provide user training, and deliver ongoing production support.
• Diagnose and resolve system-level issues, optimize system performance, and document technical processes thoroughly.
• Ensure all developments comply with interoperability standards and maintain strict data security protocols.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or related disciplines.
• Have at least three to five years of hands-on experience in DHIS2 development.
• Demonstrate strong expertise in DHIS2 Tracker, Event Capture, metadata configuration, dashboard creation, indicator and analytics setup, and report generation.
• Proficient in Java, JavaScript, SQL, RESTful API development, version control systems like Git, as well as web technologies including HTML and CSS, alongside experience with PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience in integrating DHIS2 with electronic logistics management information systems (eLMIS), ERP solutions, or other health information systems is highly valued.
• Exhibit excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving capability, clear communication, and documentation skills.
