DevOps Lead - MES Program (Pharma/Life Sciences)

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive DevOps Lead to support engineering and delivery efforts focused on our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) program based in Limerick. This position involves working within regulated pharmaceutical environments to implement and maintain robust DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee CI/CD pipelines enabling rapid and dependable MES software deployments.
• Manage and enhance DevOps toolchains, automation scripts, and both cloud and on-premises infrastructure environments.
• Collaborate closely with vendors and multi-disciplinary teams to coordinate software releases, system configurations, and ensure overall system integrity.
• Convert platform architecture designs into automated, maintainable solutions.
• Implement and maintain strong system monitoring, complete audit trails, and ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulations.
• Continuously seek improvements to deployment speed, frequency, and system resilience.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive leadership experience in DevOps within complex enterprise environments, ideally including regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals.
• Strong familiarity with CI/CD technologies including Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, among others.
• Proficient in scripting and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with MES platforms—particularly Syncade—or other large-scale enterprise applications is highly preferred.
• Outstanding problem-solving abilities alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills and effective team collaboration.
