Role Overview
We are seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience to assist in managing application deployment, monitoring, automation, and production systems. The candidate must have practical expertise with DevOps tools, including Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, monitoring, logging, and scripting.
Key Duties
- Assist in deploying and maintaining applications across various environments.
- Continuously monitor live applications and production environments to ensure stability.
- Manage and maintain Docker container environments.
- Support Kubernetes (K8s) deployment efforts and operations.
- Participate in test automation and support automated testing workflows.
- Supervise application performance and proactively detect issues.
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux systems, particularly Ubuntu.
- Diagnose and resolve problems related to applications, deployments, and runtime environments.
- Work collaboratively with development, QA, and infrastructure teams.
- Drive automation initiatives and refine DevOps processes for efficiency.
Required Skills and Experience
- Between 2 and 3 years of experience in DevOps, IT operations, or a similar technical field.
- Solid understanding of DevOps methodologies and practices.
- Hands-on experience using Docker and entry-level Kubernetes knowledge.
- Familiarity with Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and alerting purposes.
- Experience supporting test automation pipelines.
- Basic comprehension of monitoring and logging systems.
- Proficient in Bash or shell scripting.
- Experience with Linux administration, preferably on Ubuntu distributions.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving aptitude.
