DevOps Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and delivery pipelines, automate infrastructure with modern tools, and support cloud environments to enhance application deployment and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain CI/CD pipelines to facilitate effective application builds, tests, releases, and deployments.
• Automate the provisioning, configuration, and deployment of infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• Manage cloud infrastructure operations across AWS, Azure, or hybrid platforms.
• Oversee containerized application deployments with Docker, Kubernetes, or equivalent orchestration software.
• Monitor infrastructure and application performance, identifying and implementing improvements proactively.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to enhance deployment quality, scalability, reliability, and resilience.
• Participate in incident resolution, root cause analyses, documentation, and continuous operational process enhancements.
• Adhere to security, governance, compliance, and operational standards throughout DevOps practices.

Core Duties

• Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines ensuring seamless application deployment, including automation of build, test, release, and deployment processes.
• Integrate source control repositories with deployment and quality tools, troubleshoot pipeline issues, and coordinate releases.
• Provision and maintain cloud resources such as compute, storage, networking, security groups, and load balancers.
• Support migrations from on-premises to cloud or hybrid infrastructures and contribute to cost optimization efforts.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or equivalents to automate environment provisioning and configuration management.
• Create and maintain reusable infrastructure modules and deployment scripts compliant with security and governance.
• Manage container environments, including image handling, registry use, workload deployments on Kubernetes, and monitor platform health.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions across infrastructure and applications, including incident support and documentation.
• Uphold security best practices in cloud infrastructure, pipelines, including access control, secret management, patching, and vulnerability fixes.
• Engage with cross-functional teams, provide technical insights during solution design, and promote continuous process improvements aligned with Agile methodologies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields.
• Three to five years of relevant experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, system or infrastructure administration, or application deployment support.
• Hands-on experience using CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms AWS, Azure, or related services.
• Strong skills in Infrastructure as Code solutions such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation.
• Experience managing container orchestration frameworks like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Good knowledge of Linux/Windows server administration, networking, and cloud infrastructure concepts.
• Experience with Git for source control and familiarity with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Dynatrace, New Relic, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication capabilities.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments and document technical procedures clearly.
