Job description
About the Role
We are seeking experienced DevOps Engineers to join our clients' teams in Sydney, Adelaide, or Canberra. This role focuses on building robust, scalable, and secure technology environments, while collaborating with innovative teams. Candidates must hold a current NV1, NV2, or TSPV security clearance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure as code utilizing Ansible and CloudFormation.
- Create and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines, automate deployment scripts, and support monitoring and logging systems.
- Integrate applications with underlying infrastructure and related tools.
- Implement security protocols, access controls, auditing, and compliance measures to ensure governance.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource usage leveraging Elasticsearch, APM, Beats, and Kibana dashboards.
- Keep infrastructure diagrams, deployment manuals, and troubleshooting documentation up to date.
- Participate actively in Agile processes including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and code reviews.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- At least three years of professional experience in DevOps, software development, or related technical fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Proficient programming abilities in Python, Java, or C#.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge and practical exposure to container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes; Kubernetes-based deployments are highly valued.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems, specifically Git and Bitbucket.
