Role Overview

Main Objectives

The primary mission is to build and advance the DevOps function by establishing efficient tools, processes, and methodologies that support rapid, secure, and dependable software deployment. Responsibilities include crafting deployment pipelines, leveraging cloud-native technologies, and developing automation frameworks to ensure robust scalability, resilience, and efficiency of platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain advanced continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using technologies such as Argo CD, GitOps, and GitHub Actions to facilitate smooth software releases.
• Design, implement, and manage tooling and automation frameworks to deploy and operate applications within Kubernetes environments effectively.
• Collaborate across Development, Quality Assurance, Infrastructure, and Operations teams to promote DevOps best practices and accelerate release cycles.
• Utilize Microsoft Azure cloud services to architect and support scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud environments.
• Assess and optimize DevOps platforms and tools to enhance deployment efficiency and infrastructure management.
• Monitor system health, implementing enhancements that improve availability, scalability, and operational reliability.
• Advocate for security best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal policies across infrastructure and deployment workflows.
• Engage with stakeholders to translate business objectives into effective technical solutions.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Azure, Kubernetes, and deployment platforms.
• Drive the development and maturation of the DevOps practice by establishing standards, processes, and expanding capabilities.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Proven background as a DevOps Engineer or equivalent with experience spanning development, operations, and infrastructure domains.
• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure including its compute, storage, and networking services.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD workflows and tooling, particularly Argo CD, GitHub Actions, and Git-based version control systems.
• Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Practical skills in Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management via Terraform and Ansible.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Solid comprehension of networking fundamentals, security concepts, and secrets management.
• Experience in diagnosing and supporting environments involving Azure, Kubernetes, and deployment tools.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Self-driven with excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
