Job description
About the Role
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer based in Beijing or Singapore to manage and enhance our multi-cloud infrastructure and containerized clusters. This includes the upkeep of our self-hosted E2B (AI agent sandbox) cluster, ensuring production environments remain highly available, scalable, and cost-efficient via automation and platform engineering.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain container clusters such as Kubernetes and Docker, along with open-source middleware clusters including Kafka, Redis, and Elasticsearch, serving multiple business units.
- Take ownership of the self-hosted E2B cluster, managing orchestration layers like Nomad and Consul, and the Firecracker microVM runtime.
- Guarantee performance, scalability, and reliability for distributed systems.
- Manage Linux servers daily, including system hardening, applying patches, backups, and performance optimizations.
- Administer cloud resources across AWS, Azure, and GCP focusing on reliability, security, and cost management.
- Design and enhance the infrastructure operations platform continuously.
- Build and maintain infrastructure management tools, CI/CD GitOps pipelines with Jenkins and Argo CD, monitoring and alerting with Prometheus and Grafana, and centralized logging with the ELK stack.
- Promote platform automation and standardization.
- Ensure top-tier availability of production services through proactive monitoring and swift incident response, actively participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation and leading incident investigations and postmortems.
- Implement and uphold SLA/SLO frameworks and reliability engineering techniques.
- Develop self-service tools and workflows aimed at boosting team productivity.
- Set and maintain best practices for infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible, and configuration management.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including standard operating procedures and runbooks.
Requirements
- At least 3 to 4 years of practical experience in Linux system administration, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (degree not required; skills and experience prioritized).
- Strong understanding of Linux fundamentals, including networking concepts and system security best practices.
- Expertise with container technologies, particularly Kubernetes and Docker, managing production-level clusters.
- Experience in constructing and operating CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Argo CD.
- Working knowledge of infrastructure components such as Nginx, MySQL, Redis, Kafka, and Elasticsearch.
- Proficient in scripting with Shell and Python for automation tasks.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms—at least two among AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring, logging, and observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
- Practical knowledge of infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
- Ability to collaborate technically using Mandarin and communicate effectively in English in day-to-day activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or exposure to E2B / AI agent sandbox infrastructure components, including Firecracker microVM, Nomad, and Consul.
- Familiarity with service mesh technologies such as Istio and eBPF.
- Professional certifications like CKA, CKAD, or cloud certifications from AWS, Azure, or GCP.
What We Offer
- Opportunity to work at the forefront of AI agent technology, turning advanced AI breakthroughs into tangible impacts.
- Equity participation through a share incentive plan, allowing employees to share in the company’s long-term success.
- Access to unlimited Manus tokens to experiment, innovate, and enhance productivity.
