Role Overview
The Developer Experience Engineer will enhance ElevenLabs’ developer engagement by creating and supporting open-source initiatives, including server and client SDKs, and the MCP server platform. This individual will contribute critically to the design and refinement of the ElevenLabs API, developer tools, and act as an early adopter and tester (“customer zero”) for new developer-focused products. This role suits engineers passionate about open-source development, adept at managing multiple programming languages, and dedicated to refining the end-to-end developer experience through hands-on contributions.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience building and sustaining open source software projects; ideally has developed or maintained SDKs.
- Proficiency in full-stack development complemented by strong API design skills.
- Enthusiasm for creating comprehensive and engaging technical content, such as detailed blog articles.
- Exceptional communication skills with an ability to diagnose and address technical challenges.
- Desirable: Interest in participating and speaking at developer conferences.
