Design Manager

Role Overview

The Design Manager leads and oversees the entire design lifecycle for projects spanning luxury residential, hospitality, commercial, and mixed-use developments. This position guides the process from initial project briefing and feasibility assessments through concept creation, design coordination, managing consultants, obtaining authority approvals, assisting in tender preparation, coordinating construction, and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure design deliverables consistently align with the defined project vision, development strategy, targeted market positioning, operational needs, approved budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
• Preserve design intent across all phases while balancing technical requirements, commercial goals, constructability, and long-term asset value.
• Effectively manage and coordinate with consultants to address design issues and review submissions.
• Oversee and approve architectural design, engineering coordination, authority permissions, and construction documentation.
• Manage design changes thoughtfully, assessing impacts on costs, timelines, quality, approvals, and project scope.
• Maintain high attention to detail when examining drawings, specifications, materials, mockups, and technical submittals.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders, deliver compelling presentations, and negotiate effectively to support project success.
