About the Company
Swami Samarth Pet Industries specializes in manufacturing PET packaging machinery, including blow moulding, injection moulding, filling, and labelling machines, along with conveyors, mould spare parts, and complete bottling lines.
Role Overview
The Design Engineer will be responsible for developing detailed machine designs and manufacturing drawings, collaborating closely with the production team to ensure timely and accurate machine builds.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings of machines, assemblies, and components utilizing SolidWorks and AutoCAD software.
- Compile comprehensive drawing packages, including part and assembly drawings, alongside Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Design and update machine elements like frames, conveyors, moulds, fixtures, and mechanisms.
- Specify appropriate tolerances, fits, and material requirements within drawings.
- Work alongside production and fabrication teams, addressing design-related challenges encountered during shop floor activities.
- Enhance existing designs to lower manufacturing costs and simplify production processes.
- Maintain well-organized design documentation, including drawing revisions and archives.
- Provide support during machine assembly, testing phases, and customer-specific customization requests.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Proficient in SolidWorks (including part, assembly, sheet metal design, and drafting) and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as fabrication, machining, welding, and sheet metal operations.
- Ability to interpret and create engineering drawings, applying basic geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Knowledge of commonly used materials like mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and standard components such as bearings, motors, pneumatic and gearbox assemblies.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PET, bottling, packaging, or comparable specialized machinery.
- Basic understanding of design calculations and pneumatics or hydraulics systems.
- Prior experience working in manufacturing or workshop settings.
Education
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Compensation
Monthly remuneration between INR 25,000 to 35,000.
