Job Overview
As a Deputy Centre Lead 2 reporting directly to the Principal, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the strategic direction and managing the overall operations of a preschool centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance curriculum quality, expand teaching methods, and elevate professional instructional standards.
- Define strategies for fostering parent partnerships, community involvement, and talent management.
- Contribute actively to staff development and promote staff engagement within the centre.
- Lead and coordinate operational meetings to ensure smooth communication and implementation.
- Plan and execute specific programmes and initiatives that nurture a collaborative culture within the centre.
- Oversee centre operations by spearheading improvements in systems, processes, and daily functions.
- Manage and optimize resources including enrolment and control of expenses for efficiency.
Requirements
- Possess a Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education with 4 to 6 years of relevant preschool experience covering both childcare and infant care environments.
- Have at least 2 years of supervisory experience in roles like Senior Teacher, Lead Teacher, or Vice-Principal.
- Holding a Diploma in Preschool Education - Leadership (DPL) is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Solid understanding of curriculum design and teaching pedagogy.
- Practical experience in mentoring and coaching educators to foster high-quality teaching.
- Experience or involvement with the SPARK Accreditation process would be a benefit.
- Exposure to working in centres with infant care or larger preschool setups is preferable.
