Role Overview

This full-time position, located at the New Minas Sobeys in Nova Scotia, focuses on providing excellent customer service in the Prepared Foods Department including Deli and A La Carte sections. The role involves supervising colleagues in the absence of the manager, supporting employee development, and ensuring department appearance and sanitation standards are upheld.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver courteous and professional assistance to customers to fulfill their needs.
• Oversee and guide Deli/A La Carte staff when the manager is unavailable.
• Encourage a coaching culture aimed at employee growth and performance.
• Accurately complete customer orders in the deli and a la carte areas.
• Stock and arrange products in service cases efficiently.
• Implement and merchandise special deli and prepared food programs.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with sanitation policies.
• Follow and enforce company policies and standards.
• Handle administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of relevant work experience in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to operate independently while managing multiple tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated work ethic and reliability.

Compensation and Benefits

Position offers an hourly wage between $17.00 and $21.80 CAD.
