Job Overview

As a Meat Cutter, you will serve customers with professionalism while preparing various meat products and maintaining appealing displays. Your role actively supports a positive atmosphere for both employees and shoppers.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver courteous customer service tailored to meet customer requirements
• Prepare and cut meat products efficiently and hygienically
• Arrange and stock meat displays when necessary
• Keep the meat department clean, organized, and compliant with standards
• Receive and manage meat deliveries accurately
• Handle special meat product orders as requested by customers
• Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills
• Ensure compliance with company meat standards and Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) regulations
• Adopt and enforce all relevant company policies and standards
• Carry out administrative tasks as needed
• Assist in training new staff and clerks on technical meat-cutting skills
• Support the Meat Manager or Second Meat Clerk when applicable

Qualifications and Experience

• Comprehensive understanding of meat department operations
• Capability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Minimum of a High School Diploma
• At least 12 months of related work experience
